2025 Hot Products Featured Event FREERIDE COMPETITION IS BACK! The 2025 Bellanca Homes Huntington Beach Wavebash featured some of the best freeriders in the world. Three skill levels of competitors; Pro, Amateur and Master showed up and took to the waters of the Pacific and compete with their unbelievable routines which will seem to defy the laws of physics. Day one of the event consisted of qualifying sessions with 6 riders in the waves at a time with the goal to secure a spots in the head to head brackets on day 2. For day 2 Mother Nature did her part too, while it was overcast and sometimes drizzling, the surf was incredible with 4’-8’ swells provided the ideal waves to showcase the rider’s unique style and approach to doing tricks in the surf. The riders battled each other in the hopes of capturing the title at the only US Freeride competition event sanctioned by the International Jet Sports Boating Association and their share of the $5,000 prize money. In the end, after an epic head to head battle for the Pro Class Title, Mark Gomez, Rickter sponsored rider from Lake Havasu City, AZ and Chris Morrison Rise sponsored rider from Los Angeles, CA Pro Class Winner: Mark Gomez Lake Havasu City, AZ Amateur Winner: Charlie Wilson, Elon, VA Masters Winner: Taylor Curtis, Lake Havasu City, AZ. Krash Industries Big Air Contest Winner Chris Morrison, Los Angeles, CA $1,250 purse for “sending it” the highest Congratulations to all the participants who thrilled the fans with their unreal routines in the surf!
