Pierre Maixent
Originally from Margaux, France, Pierre
Maixent started jet skiing in 1996 and
began competing three years later. He
first raced in the Runabout category in
1999,
then went on to the Stand-up in
2003,
the preferred category in the jet
ski world.
Pierre’s achievements in competitions
and his many performances around
the world have gained him global
recognition. He is a multi Freeride
World Champion, capturing the title in
2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011
and
2013.
Also winning the Runabout
category in 2008. As a result, he has
emerged as a leader of the Freeride
discipline. A pioneer and innovator of
many tricks, such as the “re-entry barrel
roll”, variants of the flip, and most
notably the first pilot to master the
famous “double back flip”, earning him
praise from motorsports legend Travis
Pastrana. He has also acquired the
respect of the media, who nicknamed
him the “Best Freerider on the Planet”.
Pierre is currently the most acclaimed
pilot in the freeride discipline.
Self-taught in both his passion and his
business, he personally manages
many aspects of his professional
career. Along with the physical training
and sponsorship opportunities, he
develops and builds his machines, with
help from the leading brands: RRP,
Rickter, Dasa, Hydro-Turf, Cold Fusion,
Skat-Trak, Jet Pilot, Yamaha, Hot
Products, Gasket Technology, Fullgaz
and others.
This success has led him to create the
MX100 Factory, his own company of
imported pieces and accessories – a
workshop entirely dedicated to custom
freeride and freestyle skis.
