95/97 Racing (Doncaster, South Yorkshire - UK)
95/97 Racing would like to thank Hot Products for their generous support and sponsorship of Matt and Joe Edwards
(Ages 15 and 12 respectively) that race as a family Jet Ski race team titled
95/97 Racing
.
Both boys enjoy most extreme sports, and actively participate in; BMX, mountain biking, skateboarding, snowboarding,
music and Playstation (as well as their commitment to Jet skiing).
They will try any food, having traveled to many places across the World and sampled local delicacies.
Matt and Joe have been racing for several years with Matt starting in 2005 and later winning back to back Junior British
Champion titles in 2007 & 2008 at 12 and 13 of age. Last year (2009), when he had just turned 14 in March, he was
given permission to move up to the premier GP class and Stock 2-stoke class racing with the Adults where he came 3rd
in 2009. He has also achieved a 2nd in Junior Stock, Slalom and Junior Ltd classes at the 2008 and 2009 World Finals
held at Lake Havasu in Arizona, USA.
Joe started racing at 10 year old, winning his first title the same year when he easily won the Novice Junior winter
championship and therefore was asked to race in the Open British Championship alongside his Brother Matt. He rode
his 2-stroke Kawasaki all year, winning the Junior 2-stoke championship (becoming British Junior 2-stroke champion in
his first season) and coming second in the overall Junior Open Championship behind his brother Matt. That year (2008)
Joe went to the World Finals and won the 10-12 Junior 'Lites’ (2-stroke) class, becoming a WORLD Champion in his first
year of racing. Last year (2009), he was unbeaten in the British Championship all season and received a special award
for gaining the maximum possible points in a season, becoming the 2009 British Junior Champion at 11 years old (the
youngest ever British Junior Champion). At the end of August he turned 12 and went to the World Finals in the USA
where he was again unbeaten in all qualifiers and motos, winning both the Junior 2-stroke and 4-stroke classes – becom-
ing a DOUBLE WORLD CHAMPION in 2009.
Following his achievements, Joe was nominated by the British RYA for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
We are all proud of the boy’s achievements and thank everyone for their support from their sponsors who show
commitment to their future success, and the hard work of a lot of people (behind the scenes) connected with them
which have led to their joint successes so far in their chosen sport.
The boys have met and made many friends around the world through their Jet skiing and maintain their friendships
through Facebook, e-mail and the web.
Thank you to all our sponsors for your continued support.
Best Regards,
95/97 Racing
