These boats hook up pretty well in the calm but really benefit from our
intake grate in choppy to rough water. The worx grate will not cost you any
top speed in the calm but will give you heaps better hook-up and drive in
the rough and around the track for closed course racing. Similar to the
WR221, this grate also has two bars running the full length of the boat that
hang down and stop the back of the boat from sliding out, the centre blade
of the grate does most of the work in the straights and the side wings come
into play in the corners to keep the pump fully loaded and driving.
The Work grate gives the pump excellent loading in all water conditions, it
will not cost you speed in the calm and make a night and day difference in
choppy to rough conditions.
Improves hook-up and turning dramatically, it is a great rough water and
surf riding intake grate because the pick-up area is wide and deep. It not
only loads the pump, but it also allows you to ride hard up to a turn buoy.
When you come off the throttle, the grate acts like a brake to slow you into
a turn.

This is a similar grate to the WR 201, only it is less aggressive and gives
1-2 MPH higher top speed but does not have the same braking effect that
some people prefer. If you want top speed and usually ride in calmer water,
this is the one for you.

The Worx intake grate gives a lot better hook-up in all conditions:
• No top speed loss • Better pump loading in rough water
• Holds the boat on the water better, giving better control
• Better cornering as the Worx grate has two rails running the full length
that hang down 12mm below the pump cavity and stop the boat sliding out

The “NEW” WORX WR225 intake grate has twin central pickup vanes as
well as the proven WORX side wings. This grate also has a wider and
deeper pickup area at the back. The combined effect is more efficient pump
loading in all water conditions and better hook-up and drive out of turns.
